Patrol Division

The King Cove Department of Public Safety, is the only law enforcement entity for the City of King Cove.

The Patrol Division consists of a Chief, One Sergeant, and Two Patrol Officers. The on-duty patrol officers and the supervising Chief and Sergeant offer immediate law enforcement coverage to the community. Officers respond to and investigate a wide variety of cases. Since the community is remote, officers must be capable of continuing through on investigations from first complaint to prosecution. Cases happen within city limits. They also occur on state and federal lands or waters. The division is regularly requested to investigate on behalf of other agencies. Their personnel are located far away. We are proud of the skill of our officers. We encourage and promote a wide variety of skills. Advanced education is also supported. Many officers in the division are certified police instructors.
