King Cove has three playgrounds (locations are downtown, uptown, and school) and abundant hiking, sports fishing, bird watching, and other opportunities to explore and enjoy Deer Island. Kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up-paddle boarding are also popular activities. The old school also opens up for Open Gym several nights a week. We also have a Teen Center that is open in the evening time. There also is a second hand clothing store located in the old school (King Cove Co-Op) Lastly we have an out door shooting range located on your way to the airport. In short, there are loads of recreational activities for King Cove residents and visitors, both indoors and out.
