Affectionately known as the \u201cTrusty Tusty,\u201d the vessel arrives in King Cove once month from June through September, providing essential passenger and freight service to this remote region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built in 1964 in Wisconsin, the 296-foot Tustumena is one of only two ocean-class vessels in the AMHS fleet. Its robust design allows it to safely navigate the challenging, open waters of the Aleutian Chain.
